This project will create an entrepreneurship curriculum for upper elementary students, grades 3-5, that is tied to the State of Michigan Standards for Social Studies. These standards will be integrated with Language Arts and Science (STEM) Standards. The curriculum will guide teachers and their students to create an entrepreneurial mindset while laying a framework for innovation, critical thinking and economic decision-making at an early age. It will prepare students for their future in business and career opportunities while incorporating economic concepts and financial literacy.

While limited materials exist, the intent is to create an innovative, hands-on approach that is linked to the State of Michigan Standards enabling teachers to incorporate the curriculum in their daily planning. Studies have shown the impact of new business creation on economic prosperity. This will provide an early foundation to encourage future business formation.
