University of Michigan School of Management Hosts Annual Business Summit Featuring Consumers Energy CEO Garrick Rochow
Flint, MI – October 15, 2025 — The University of Michigan School of Management hosted its annual Business Summit, bringing together regional business leaders, policymakers, and university partners to explore the future of leadership, sustainability, and economic growth in Michigan.
This year’s keynote address was delivered by Garrick Rochow, President and CEO of Consumers Energy, who shared insights on innovation, resilience, and the company’s commitment to powering Michigan’s sustainable future.
Among the attendees were Genesee County Commissioner Dr. Beverly Brown, David Mérot, Director of the UM-Flint EDA University Center for Community and Economic Development, and Paula Nas. Director of the UM-Flint Office of Economic Development, who emphasized the importance of collaboration between higher education, industry, and local government in driving community impact.
